Terms of Use

The terms you accept by using this website, including what our nutrition research does and does not claim.

Last updated 8 September 2026

Who this agreement is with

These terms are between you and Noreen Foods LLC, a registered limited liability company. "We" and "us" below mean that company.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

What this website is

This site shows what we make, explains how it is made, and gives you ways to reach us. That is its whole purpose.

It is not a shop. It carries no prices, no basket and no checkout, and you cannot buy anything here. What it does instead is show the range and invite a conversation, whether you are a household who wants to know where to find a jar or a shop that wants to stock one.

The catalogue is not an offer

Because nothing here transacts, nothing here is an offer to sell.

A product appearing on this site is not a promise that it exists in stock today, that it is available in your area, or that it will be available at any particular price. Some of the range is described but not yet photographed, because it is not finished. Where that is the case the site says so.

Sending us an inquiry does not create a contract, an order, a reservation or a supply agreement, and it puts no obligation on either side. If we agree to supply you, that agreement is whatever we confirm to you in writing, and nothing else.

Nutrition and health information

This site publishes a section about the research behind what goes in the jars. It cites named journals and named databases and links to each one. Because it does that, it needs to be exact about what it is claiming, and this section is where that is set out.

Every figure describes an ingredient at a stated reference amount, not a serving of our food. When the site says a cooked cup of mustard greens carries a given amount of vitamin K, that is a measurement of mustard greens published by the USDA. It is not a measurement of a spoonful of our saag. Nobody has measured a spoonful of our saag. The site states the reference amount beside every figure so that the two can never be confused, and you should read them as what they say.

Findings are reported as what a study measured in the people who took part in it. Where we describe a trial, we name the journal and the year, we say what the participants ate and for how long, and we report what the researchers found. We do not extend that to a claim about you. A result in a twelve week trial of a particular ingredient at a particular dose is evidence about that trial, and reporting it accurately is the most it can honestly be asked to do.

Nothing on this site claims that our food diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease. No statement here has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are food. They are not supplements, they are not medicine, and they are not a substitute for either.

None of this is medical or dietary advice. It is written for general interest by a food company, not for you by a clinician who knows your history. Individual results vary, a nutrient in an ingredient is not the same thing as a diet, and no single food is responsible for anyone's health.

Please talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing what you eat for a health reason. Three cases are worth naming specifically, because our own range raises them:

  • If you take an anticoagulant such as warfarin. Leafy greens are very high in vitamin K, which is the vitamin those medicines work against, and a large change in how much you eat can affect how well the medicine works. This is a conversation to have with the person who prescribed it.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or feeding a young child. Some of what we make is traditionally eaten at those times. Tradition is not clinical advice, and what is right for you is a question for your own doctor or midwife.
  • Honey should never be given to a child under twelve months old. This is not specific to us. It is standard infant feeding guidance everywhere, it is about the risk of infant botulism, and it applies to all honey.

Ingredients, allergens and the label

The label on the jar is what governs. This website is a description of our food. The jar in your hand is the food. Where the two ever differ, the jar is right, and you should read it.

Recipes and suppliers change. A jar you buy next year may not have the ingredient list of a jar you bought last year, and the site cannot tell you which one you are holding. The label can.

Our range contains tree nuts including almonds, pistachios and walnuts, milk in the form of ghee and yogurt, and wheat. Products in development include sesame. Several products are made on shared equipment. If you have a food allergy, read the full label every time and do not rely on this website, on a product description, or on a photograph.

If you have a severe allergy and the label does not answer your question, write to us before you eat it. We would much rather answer an email.

Photography and packaging

Photographs on this site show the product, and they are photographs rather than measurements. Colour varies between screens, and it varies between batches of food made from crops that are not identical from one harvest to the next.

Where an image shows our food alongside something else, that is a serving suggestion. The other things in the picture are not in the jar and are not included.

Packaging and labels are updated from time to time, and the jar you receive may not look exactly like the one in a photograph here.

Inquiries and submissions

Everything you send us through this site must be accurate, and it must be yours to send.

Do not submit another person's details without their knowledge. The stockist request form asks for the name of a shop, and by sending it you are telling us we may contact that shop about stocking our products.

Please do not send confidential or proprietary information through this site. An open web form is not a private channel, and we have no confidentiality agreement with you. What you do send is handled under our Privacy Policy.

Reviews, testimonials and anything we quote

If we publish a customer's words on this site, they are that customer's real words about their own real experience of our food.

We do not write reviews and present them as somebody else's. We do not pay for a review, and we do not offer anybody anything in exchange for saying something positive. If we ever give a person free product or anything else of value and they then write about us, that fact is disclosed wherever their words appear. We do not remove or suppress a review because it is unfavourable.

If you see something on this site attributed to a customer that you have reason to think is not genuine, tell us and we will look into it.

Where you buy our food

When our jars are stocked by a shop, a market or an online retailer, that seller is who you buy from. Their terms cover your purchase, their returns policy covers a refund, and their privacy policy covers your details. Ours do not.

We do not control how a retailer stores our food, how long it has been on their shelf, or what they charge for it. If you bought one of our jars from a seller we do not supply, we cannot vouch for its age or its handling, and we would like to hear about it.

Questions about a product itself are always welcome here, whoever sold it to you.

Using this site

Use it to read about our food and to contact us.

Do not use it to send unlawful, misleading, fraudulent or harmful material, to submit somebody else's personal information without their knowledge, to attempt to reach any part of it that is not public, to probe or overload it, to scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or to interfere with how it works.

Intellectual property

The Noreen Foods name and mark, the packaging and label artwork, the photography, the written content and the design of this site belong to Noreen Foods LLC or to the people we licensed them from. They may not be reproduced or used commercially without our written permission.

You are welcome to view and print pages for your own use, and you are welcome to link to us.

If you are a retailer we supply, or a journalist writing about us, you may use our product photography and our name to describe and sell our food. Please ask us first if you want to use the artwork for anything else, and please do not alter the mark.

Third-party services

This site depends on services we do not control: a hosting provider, and a form delivery service that carries a submission from a page to our inbox. We choose them with care and we hold them to contracts, and we are still not responsible for their outages, their acts or their own terms.

Where we link to somebody else's website, including the journals and databases the nutrition section cites, we do so because it is useful. We do not control those sites and linking to one is not an endorsement of everything on it.

Accuracy and availability

We take care with what we publish. Even so, this site is provided as it is and as it is available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that it is complete, current or free of errors, that it will be uninterrupted, or that it is fit for a purpose you have not told us about. We may change what is on it at any time without notice.

Nothing in this section limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in it applies to the safety of our food. Product safety is not a website disclaimer question and we are not attempting to disclaim it here.

What we are liable for

Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, business or data, arising out of your use of this website.

Our total liability to you arising out of this website is limited to one hundred United States dollars. This site sells nothing, so there are no fees between us to measure a cap against, and a fixed figure is more honest than a formula that would always resolve to zero.

These limits are about this website. They do not apply to fraud, to wilful misconduct, to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to any liability arising from the food itself, or to anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Indemnity

If somebody brings a claim against us because of what you submitted through this site, because of how you used it, or because you broke these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs and any damages. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take charge of defending it.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top, and a change takes effect when it is posted. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept it. If you do not, please stop using the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Noreen Foods LLC is organised, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.

Nothing here requires you to give up a right you hold under the consumer law of the state you live in.
